Why should I bother to get my postcards scanned?

Collecting postcards can be a very enjoyable hobby. However it can be hard to know what to do with them once you have collected them. Displaying them in albums is fine but viewing is then limited to the few who visit you. In this digital age there are ways to help many more other people enjoy your collection.

We can help to turn your postcards into digital images.

Why should I get you to scan my prints?

We always take great care with all the postcards that we are asked to scan. All our technichians are required to wear preservation quality gloves for handling and the postcards are stored carefully whilst in our care.

Each postcard is scanned individually and not pushed through a bulk feeder. Postcards are dusted with compressed air to remove any traces of dust to ensure we get the very best possible scan.

What are the options?

Our Gold Standard Service (Scan once) is a service that provides a very high quality result. Each postcard is scanned individually and examined to get the best possible scan that we can.

Professional Standard is for those jobs that need a highly professional result. You can find out more about this on our professional scanning page.

We can save your scans in any way you like. You have the standard options of DVD or CD but we can save to memory cards, memory sticks, etc.

You can also choose to have your prints saved as TIFF or JPEG files. There is more on this the the FAQ section.

How much does it cost?

We have a satisfaction guarantee and you only pay for scans that you like.

How do I get started?

Contact us and tell us what you need doing using the order page (to be honest you can use any of the contact pages - we don't mind).
We will send you an email with the address you need to send your postcards to.
Package up your postcards and send them to us - we will let you know when they have arrived.
We will then scan your postcards and post some smaller versions of the finished scans on the Internet for you to see.
You tell us of any scans that you don't want to pay for (we will probably give you the options of rescanning them but you still don't pay if we can't get it to your requirements).
Once you have paid for your scans then we package up and send back your postcards and your new scans.
