The above prices include burning the images onto DVD (if you require CD instead then please let us know). Also if the images will fit on a CD we will burn to CD instead. All (as far as we have been able to find out) modern DVD players and computers can handle CD.

You can purchase extra copies of the DVD/CD at £6 a copy (great for family and friends or why not buy one as a backup disk to be kept safe somewhere).

We only use good quality DVDs and CDs that have a long life, some inferior products have been known to become unusable after just a couple of years. We highly recommend getting a backup disk to save having to have your images re scanned, disks can become scratched in use.

There is no minimum order size but we do have a surcharge of £5 for any small orders (under £20 order). This is simply to cover the costs of the CD - we can offer an Internet download at £2 instead of the £5 if you would prefer.

Gold Standard Scanning (Scan right and scan once)

Our Gold Standard Scanning service means that because we take extra care to get the best scan from your photos you will only have to pay to have the picture scanned once. We believe it is better to get a quality scan in the first time around to save on spending more later.

Bronze Standard Scanning (bulk scanning service)

We know that sometimes you just have a pile of pictures that you would like digitized as cheaply as possible. We offer a bulk scanning service for such times which we call our Bronze standard.

If you are confused about which option to choose then why not quickly go through your pictures and select the ones you would like to have as really good quality scans (perhaps ones you might want to get a print from or have enlarged) and put the rest down for some bronze level scanning. If you take this option please clearly label which service you want for each set of prints (e.g. put the high quality scans into a separate envelope).

About Resolutions

An awful lot of nonsense is written about resolutions (dpi, ppi, etc) and most of the time it is very confusing. We have done the hard work for you and can advise on the best resolution for the results you desire. We can scan to resolutions if you want and the prices are shown above but you have to know a lot about printing and scanners to make sense of this.
